Oh What A Weekend In Jacksonville

Kudos to the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra for choosing The Midtown Men to open their 2013-2014 Pops Series this past weekend at the beautiful Jacoby Symphony Hall.  The Men were greeted with enthusiasm from a packed house both Friday and Saturday nights, and they did not disappoint!  From the opening notes of “Let’s Hang On” to the closing of  “Bye Bye Baby,” Michael, Christian, Daniel and Bobby entertained with their wit,  cool dance moves, infectious charm and most definitely their beautiful harmonies.  Combine this with the  smooth sound of Michael Krajewski’s orchestra, and sixties music never sounded so good!

Fans of all ages, from young…

Meg, Carley, Sam and Jenna loved the view from the front row!

to young at heart;

My mom LOVES the Men and was thrilled to see them for her fourth time, and this time they came to her!

to Midtown Men die hards;

Debby and Dan made the trip from LaGrange, GA to see the Men for the fourth time this year!

people came from near

Sam and Jenna would have traveled much farther than the 5 miles they drove to see this show again!

    How do the “men” get better each time I see them? The audiences love them and really feel a part of the show. The only bad thing
    about their performances is that they end.

    No matter how many times we’ve seen The Midtown Men (four and counting), they never, ever disappoint. As musicians, they are the consummate performers – every note, every harmony is smooth and flawless. The choreography is spot-on and electrifying (I want to learn what I call the “drunk penguin” move), and their camaraderie on stage is genuine. But more than the mere technicalities of a stage show, their joy and energy are what sets these guys apart. They love what they do and it shows. From the minute they take the stage to the last wave as they leave, they go full-out, giving everything they have to their audiences. My cheeks hurt after every performance from smiling every second of the show.
    But here is where the magic truly happens. After every concert, the guys come out front to sign autographs and take photos. They are truly appreciative, and they want the fans to know that. Michael, Daniel, Christian and Bobby are four of the nicest guys I’ve ever met, and it is always a treat to see them again.
    We already have front-row tickets for the January show in Atlanta, and are working out logistics for the show in Augusta. We just love The Midtown Men.
