J. Robert Spencer has been spending his summer in Glen Falls, NY. No, not on vacation, but on STAGE at the Adirondak Theatre Festival! Yes, Mr. Spencer has been a busy man. Not only did he headline the 2015 Adirondack Theatre Festival presentation of unCIVIL WAR, but he is an Executive Producer.  AND in his spare time, he starred in his very first cabaret show!

THE UNCIVIL WAR

A bluegrass musical comedy along the Mason-Dixon

The Civil War’s six lone survivors retell the story of the infamous conflict…as it REALLY happened…

Adirondack Theatre Festival hits the jackpot with the new comedy musical unCivil War, which runs July 9 through Saturday, July 18, at the Charles Wood Theater.

Seriously funny — J. Robert Spencer, Matthew Stocke and Brian Charles Rooney in UnCivil War.

Great interview by Ronda Triller in poststar.com:

J. Robert Spencer starts an interview with a warning: “I’m long-winded.”

Then the Tony Award nominee spends half an hour entertaining, telling stories about run-ins with celebrities, his favorite sweater (even Harvey Keitel likes it) and busking in New York City subways.

If he’s long-winded, there needs to be another term for close-talking windbag second cousins who corner you near the hors d’oeuvres table at family reunions to talk about their careers in insurance.

Spencer might talk a lot, but he has a lot of interest to say.
