The Midtown Club wishes to express heartfelt condolences to Jersey Boys co-writer Rick Elice on the loss of his husband, Roger Rees.

On July 15th the lights of Broadway dimmed in memory of late Tony Award-winning actor who died July 10 at the age of 71.  Rees, a veteran of stage and screen, worked virtually to the last weeks of his life, appearing in the Broadway musical The Visit earlier this season until he was forced to withdrawal due to declining health.

“He will be fondly missed by many, and always greatly admired by the four of us.”

Catherine, this is lovely and so well put together. From everything I have read, Roger was not only the heart and soul of the theatre community, but an all around great guy. My deepest condolences to Rick.
